Dixie M. Capps

Mrs. Dixie M. Capps, age 88 of Brandenburg, KY passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Diversicare Transitional Care in Oak Ridge, TN.  Mrs. Capps enjoyed bingo, bowling and spending time with family and friends.  She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, also known as Mimi.

Mrs. Capps was preceded in death by her husband, James (Geno) Capps.  She is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Jeff) Johnson, Louisville, KY and Carla (Curtis) Sweeney, Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Leah (Brent) Witmer, Jessica (Shaun) Hourigan and Staci (Jason) Messing; seven great grandchildren, Hunter, Isabella, Laci, Michael, Jaden, Aaliyah and Miles; her niece, Iris (Pat) Johnson, Louisville, KY; and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2022, in the Chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, Brandenburg, KY, with Rev. Joseph Payton officiating.  Burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 1, 2022, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, Louisville, KY.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday.
