Mr. Donald Ray “Duck” Bishoff, age 67, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at home, with his family. Duck was born September 13,1953, the son of Donald and Loetta (Bennett) Bishoff. He retired from Brandenburg Telephone Company with over 30 years of service. Duck was a member of Weldon Christian Church, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized. Duck loved the outdoors in general, but especially hunting, fishing and tinkering with things. Most important to him, was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Duck was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Alpha and Zula Bishoff, and Sherley “Cowboy” and Opal Bennett. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Clark Bishoff; Zachary Benham, Donna (Randy) Smallwood, both of Brandenburg, KY, Billy (Julie) Bishoff, New Albany, IN, Michael (Melissa) Bishoff, Webster, KY, and Amanda Pedigo, Bardstown, KY; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Gayle (Phillip) Hardesty, Ekron, KY, Cindy (Stanley) Turner, Gwen Keys, both of Brandenburg, KY; three brothers, Dave Bishoff, Otter Creek, KY, Rob (Shirley Shacklette) Bishoff, Benny (Jennifer) Bishoff, both of Brandenburg, KY; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary True officiating. Burial will follow in Weldon Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
