Mr. Donald Lee “Donnie” Satterly, Jr., age 53, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at his residence.  He was born on October 25, 1970, the son of Donald Lee, Sr. and Carol Gowen Offield.

      Donnie was a 1988 graduate of Meade County High School where he was a natural on the football field.  After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  Donnie always had a need for speed and loved driving fast.  Sometimes, a little too fast.  He was very extroverted and could quickly make friends with anyone he came into contact with, which served him well in his career in car sales.  He loved to watch movies and roller skate, especially in his youth.  Donnie could literally fix anything as a handyman, and he also was considered a great cook and grill master by those close to him.

      Donnie was preceded in death by his wife, Kelly; his daughter, Megan; his father, Donald Lee, Sr.; and his grandmother, Edna.  He is survived by his daughter, Winter Clapsaddle; two grandchildren, Bailey and Jaxson; his mother, Carol Offield, and his step father, Larry; two brothers, Leland Pike and Donald Todd Satterly; two sisters, Mary Jo Embrey and Becky Aldridge; three nephews, David, T.J., and Brandon; five aunts, Martha, Mary, Rita, Patty, and Phyllis; and his uncle, Sammy.

      A Celebration of Donnie’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1423 Old Ekron Road, Brandenburg, KY  40108.
