Ernest Lee Himelright

Mr. Ernest Lee Himelright, loving husband, dad and brother, age 77, of Battletown, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.  Lee was born June 8, 1945, the son of Loring Samuel and Louise Valentina (Whitmire) Himelrigtht.  He was an amazing craftsman and loved working in carpentry.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Richard Himelright; his daughter, Pamela Parker; his great grandson, Ryan Nugent; his sister, Linda Himelright; and his brother, Joe Himelright.  He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Pam Himelright; three children, Ezekiel (Amy) Himelright, April (Daniel) Crossway, Leah (Michael) Dunkelberger; eight grandchildren, Josh Davis, Dustin (Madelynn) Springer, Trevor Parker-Ingles, Destiny (Brett) Nugent, Desiree (Austin) Huber; seven great grandchildren, Jamison, Maddox and Abigail Lecount, Kynleigh Springer, and Gracie, Elena and Jonathan Nugent; his brother, Loring Samuel Himelright, Jr.; his sister, Darlene Chambers; and numerous other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 19, 2023, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Marve Bennett Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.
