Mrs. Freda Lou White, age 70, of Brandenburg, KY, fulfilled her lifelong dream of entering the Kingdom of Heaven on September 25, 2021. She was born on January 16, 1951, the daughter of Randall Carney and Zelma Wick. Throughout her life, she held many secretarial jobs. Her favorite job however, was playing piano at Fellowship Baptist Church in Corydon, IN. She was a member of the church, where she gave many hours of service for prayer breakfasts and whatever else God gave her the strength to do.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her father; and her husband, Kenny White. She is survived by her only son, Christopher “Scott” Simpson and his wife, Emily, St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren, Dylan Simpson and his wife, Courtney, Brandenburg, KY, Zak Brown, Kassi, Krysten and Kelissa Simpson, all of St. Petersburg, FL; her mother, Zelma Wick, one brother, Mike Carney; two sisters, Patricia Durham and her husband, Ron, Susan Childress and her husband, Wendall, all of Louisville, KY; her special aunt who was very close to her, Elizabeth Carney; her best friend of many years, Linda Tower, Brandenburg, KY; and several nieces and nephew.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Garnettsville Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Shaw officiating. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM on Saturday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is requesting that everyone please wear masks during the visitation. There will be a picnic luncheon at the Garnettsville pavilion following the service.
