Frieda Aliene (Frans) Humphrey

Mrs. Frieda Aliene Humphrey, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on her 95th birthday, Tuesday, September 12, 2023.  Mrs. Humphrey was born September 12, 1928, the daughter of James Edward and Mona Pearl (Allen) Frans.  She was a longtime member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.  She had many interests and hobbies throughout her life, but she especially loved to bowl and play Bunco.

Mrs. Humphrey was preceded in death by her loving husband, R.L. Humphrey; and her son, Leroy Humphrey.  She is survived by four children, Alice Crawford, David Humphrey and his wife, Toni, Marilyn McGlinn, and Carolyn Kendall and her husband, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Diane Humphrey; 12 grandchildren, Jason Humphrey, Amy Humphrey Larson, Chris, Greg, and Jeff Crawford, Billi Jo Bartlett, Jacob Humphrey, Velana Kinley, Jared Carden, Matthew and Mason Kendall, and Megan Cundiff; 22 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronnie Melton officiating.  Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Saturday, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Sunday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, or to the American Heart Association.
