Gloria Marie (Benham) Dix

     Mrs. Gloria Marie Dix, age 88, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2023, surrounded by her children.  Gloria was an active member of Weldon Christian Church in Brandenburg.

      Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Gladys (Jupin) Benham; her husband of 59 years, Donald Eli Dix, Sr.; her daughter, Beverly Jeanette Dix; her granddaughter, Elaina Marie Dix; her two sisters, Norma Grace Holston and Ruby Helen Thomas; and her brother, Wade Lamar Benham.  She is survived by her son, Donald “Eli” (Michele) Dix, Jr.; three daughters, Norma (Joe) Bartley, Valerie (Earl) Kirby, and Sharon (Lou) Acuna; four grandchildren, Amanda (Bert) Jones, Sara (Aaron) Bartley-Kerr, Eli (Courtney) Dix, and Benton (Taylor) Kirby; seven great grandchildren, James Bartley, Lily Jones, Ava Jo Jones, Preston Kerr, Avery Wilson, Reighlynn Wilson, and Ripken Caster; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Weldon Christian Church, with Rev. Gary True officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
