Inna Rose (Dowell) Brown

Mrs. Inna Rose Brown, age 74, of Guston, KY, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Unit in Louisville, KY. She was born on December 22, 1950, the daughter of Herbert and Rosie Newton Dowell. Inna was a catholic by faith. She was also a passionate quilter and loved to express her creativity in her quilt designs.

Inna was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Johnny Dowell; two sisters, Mary Rogers and Marie Wilson; and her sister-in-law, Linda Dowell. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas D. Brown; three children, Mary Elizabeth (James) Schnieder, James David (Carol) Brown and William Jason Brown; eight grandchildren, Amber Schnieder, Amelia (Wesley) Myers, Lily (Blake) Ellis, James Franklin (Kelly) Brown, Tabitha Elaine (Steven Dowell) Brown, Ashley Marie Brown, Alia Elizabeth (John) O’Neal and Henry David Brown; six great grandchildren, Case, Tucker, Chase and Allie Brown, Levi Ellis and Sam Dowell; three sisters, Dollie Heaton, Faye Carter and Gwen (Carl) Logsdon; her brother, Mike Dowell; and her sister-in-law, Ann Dowell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Chaplain Valerie from Hosparus, officiating.  Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
