Jacob Garland Knott

Mr. Jacob Garland Knott, age 81, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN.  Garland was retired from the City of Brandenburg.  He was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.  His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandkids.

Garland was preceded in death by his parents, Aloysius Mar and Forrest Marie Sherill Knott; his loving wife, Mary Wright Knott; his sister, Maxine Crawley; and six brothers, Norman, Frank, Dwight “Ike”, Michael, Jimmy and Joe Knott.  He is survived by his son, Garland Marris Knott and his wife, Bobbi Jo; two grandchildren, Jessica and Peyton Knott; his great grandson, Easton Jacob Knott; and two brothers, Carroll and Leo Knott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Rev. Kevin Bryan officiating.  Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, and after 8:30 AM on Wednesday.
