James Robert Greer

Mr. James Robert Greer, age 79, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.  Mr. Greer was born September 11, 1941, the son of Charles and Rose Irene (Mattingly) Greer.

Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife, Emmalee (Kenley) Greer and their son, Raymond Hall; his 2nd wife, Verlie; three sisters, Mary Edna Bohannon, Margaret M. Dowell, and Anna Booker; and three brothers, Thomas, John W. “Billy” and Bernie Greer.  He is survived several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; three step-children, Ronnie S. (Terry) Cato, Wendell (Tina) Cato, Lisa (Gerald) Fox; four grandsons, Tyler, Alan, Justin and Kent; three granddaughters, Courtney, Emily and Lori; two great grandsons and three great granddaughters.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Mullins officiating.  Burial will follow in Haynes Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, and from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Sunday.
