James Hughes Obituary

Mr. James Douglas “Doug” Hughes, age 77, of Brandenburg, KY passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Hughes was a Marine Corps Veteran and was retired from Olin Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guthrie and Calla B. Hughes. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Davis Hughes; two sons, Larry Douglas Hughes and his wife Amanda and Shawn Gavin Hughes and his wife Christine; four granddaughters, Ashlynn Hope, Anna Catherine, Ava Karis and Ansley Gabrielle Hughes; three grandsons, Shawn Gavin Hughes, Jr., Bryan Essig and his wife Hillary and Josh Essig; and two great grandchildren, Izzy and Brooklyn.

Mr. Hughes’ family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hager Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society online at www.https://donate3.cancer.org.
