James Lee Mixon

     Mr. James Lee Mixon, age 46, of Brandenburg, KY passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Louisville, KY.  Mr. Mixon was a proud US Navy Veteran and was very patriotic.  Most of all, his number one priority was being a father. He was a selfless man, working two jobs to make sure his children had everything they needed.

     James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Charlcie Whitaker.  He is survived by two children whom he dearly loved, Heaven Mixon and Bradlee Mixon; his mother, Donna Whitaker; his father, Wayne Whitaker; four siblings, John Mixon, Star Morgan, Dawn Whitaker and Shawn Whitaker; and several nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the Chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Ryan Franks officiating.  Burial, with full military honors, will follow at 1:30 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
