James Arthur Wells, Sr.

Mr. James Arthur Wells, Sr., age 72, formerly of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at University of Louisville Medical Center South in Brooks, KY.  Mr. Wells was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country in Vietnam.  He was also a member of the VFW Post #1181.  James loved fishing and boating, but especially eating ice cream with his grandchildren and spending as much time as possible with his family in general.

Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lula Howard Wells; his loving wife, Debbie Wells; and his brother, Logan Wells.  He is survived by two children, James Wells, Jr. and his wife, Shannon, and Jessica Ritchie and her husband, Chris; two step children, Katie Miller and her husband, Jason, and their children, Jack, Micah and Emerson, and Chaz Martin and his wife, Tolkyn, and their children, Oscar and Zara; 8 grandchildren, Breanna, Collin, Tanner, Madison, Emma, Aaron, Rebecka and Amber; his sister, Laura Jean O’Quinn; and two brothers, Roger Wells and his wife Carolyn, and Henry Wells. 

Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.  A celebration of James’ life will be held at a later date.
