Janice Michelle "Shelly" (Justis) LaTondress

Mrs. Janice Michelle “Shelly” LaTondress, age 61, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  Shelly was born on December 22, 1963, the daughter of Glendle Lee and Janice (Berryman) Justis.

Shelly adored her family and loved watching her grandsons play football.  She had a passion for children and helped to take care of over 25, throughout her life.  Shelly, along with her husband, also volunteered at Roberts Family Farm for many years, where they gathered with their many friends and also established many other lasting friendships through the years.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Tami Wilkins; and her two brothers, Glen and Kevin Justis.  She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Eddie LaTondress; two children, Johnny LaTondress, and Susan Stewart and her husband, Jason; two grandsons, Ein and Ethyn Stewart; two brothers, Mike (Michelle) Justis, and Willis (Trudy) Justis; her sister, Vivian (Mike) Cummings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Journey Church, with Rev. Tom Bridge officiating.  Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and at the church, from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
