Obituary

Mrs. Jeanette Grace Penn, age 73, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.  Jeanette was born November 23, 1949, the daughter of Joseph Nimrod and Annie Marie (Pack) Coghill.  She was a hairdresser and cosmetologist for over 30 years, owning her own business, Jeanette’s Beauty Salon.  Jeanette and her husband were also members of the Brandenburg Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Catherine Hughes; and two brothers, Joe and James Coghill.  She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Henry Penn; two children, Bridget Penn Love and her husband, Brian, and Nathan Penn and his wife, Ashley; four grandchildren, Morgan Hines and her husband, Jason, Casey Love and Brenden and Olivia Sturgeon; her great grandson, Harrison Hines; two brothers, Charlie and Frank Coghill; and four sisters, Louise Monchilovich, Merle Wagner, Esther Sipes and Mildred Chambers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Lida Bain officiating.  Burial will follow in Buck Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
