Mr. Jesse Cleveland Zdenek, age 73, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. Jesse was an Army veteran, serving his country in Vietnam. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved to fish and hunt, but most of all loved his Alabama Crimson Tide.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Eunice (Pelham) Zdenek. He is survived by three children Frank Zdenek, Mary Zdenek Arterburn and her husband, Steve, and Bill Zdenek and his wife, Carrie; his grandson, Billy Smith and his wife, Hannah; and his great granddaughter, Novaleigh “Tinker Bell” Smith.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. William “Happy” Chandler officiating. Interment will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 5, 2021, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Friday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
