John Edward Preston

Mr. John Edward Preston, age 58, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at his residence. John was a truck driver for over 35 years. Trucking was John’s passion, logging many miles across the country. Above his love for the road, John cherished his family, especially being a Grandpa to his grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife, Becca Preston; four children, Shelby Splunge (Antonio), James Preston (Natalie), Meredith Hart and Melissa Gray; 12 grandchildren, Hadley Splunge, Rhiannon Splunge, Joshua Preston, Akima Morton, Anika Morton, Michael Curtsinger, William Gray, Bella Morton, Myrick Gray, Malia Gray, Daiden Gray and Marissa Gray; his great grandson, Alexander Morton; his mother, Kathryn Farmer; his step-dad, Kenneth Farmer (Brenda); and his best friend, who was more like a brother, Claude Seadler.

In honoring John’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation with no public services to be held. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
