SFC (Ret.) Jonathan Frederick Hoffman, age 61, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
SFC Hoffman was retired from the United States Army, proudly serving his country for 20 years. After retirement, Jonathan began his 2nd career in safety management which he thoroughly enjoyed. His greatest joy however, was spending time with his grandchildren. He was the proudest Pop Pop going to all sporting events, and even helping a couple learn the sport of Archery.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Carol Hoffman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Harbin Hoffman; three children, Brian Sinkhorn, Tiffany (Chris) Coin, and Nicole (Brad) Webb; his step daughter, Sandra Bryant; his grandchildren, Cherish Brown, Jasmine Sinkhorn, Elise Webb, Colton Coin, Layne Webb, and Logan Webb; and two special friends that were more like brothers, Randy Scott, and Dan Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will follow at 12:30 PM, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 2, from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM, and on Monday, from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Meade County Animal Shelter.
