Joseph Leroy Ray

Mr. Joseph Leroy Ray, age 70, of Flaherty, KY, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Gilbert and Thelma Agnita (Whelan) Ray; his twin brother, James Elroy Ray; and two brothers, Frances Gary Hilary and Joseph Hilary. He is survived by his loving life partner of 25 years, Carol A. Whitworth; three stepchildren, Richard Graham, Michael Rickey and Candice Miller; seven step-grandchildren, Ashley, Hope, Megan, Madison, Adam, Shelby and Sidney; five step-great grandchildren; four brothers, Marion (Gail) Ray, Richard Ray, Merlin (Renee) Ray and Danny (Bonnie) Ray; three sisters, Charlene (Jerry) Pelka, Donna (John) Snyder and Sherry (Mike) Early; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, November 28, 2022, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery in Flaherty, KY. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 until 5:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
