Katherine Alliene "Kay" (Reed) Briggs

     Mrs. Katherine Alliene “Kay” Briggs, age 74, of Muldraugh, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. 

      Kay was preceded in death by her parents Leatus and Leona Reed; her loving husband, Charlie Briggs; and her brother, Leatus Reed III.  She is survived by two daughters, Caprecia Baker and her husband, Dave, and Alissa Gallenberg and her husband Joel; four grandchildren, Mackenzie, John and Haylie Price, and Charlie Harbaugh; her brother, Doug Reed and his wife, Donna; her sister-in-law, Sara Reed; and several nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. David Sullivan officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Sunday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the National Kidney Foundation.
