Mr. Kerry Cox, age 62, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, KY. Kerry was born October 28, 1960, the son of Albert Gene and Wallace Ann Cox, who both preceded him in death. He was a longtime member of Ekron Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, and also served on the Building Committee. Kerry owned and operated Cox Pump and Drilling Service and was a member of the Kentucky Groundwater Association. Kerry’s passion was his family. They enjoyed camping, playing Rook and any other number of card, dice or board games.
Kerry is survived by his loving wife, Ginny Mitchell Cox; three children, Joseph Cox and his wife, Lindsey, Blake Cox, and Sarahbeth Cox Wilder and her husband, Noah; his brother, Tracy (Terrie) Cox; his sister, Becky (Bob) Brewer; his mother-in-law, Jane (John) Semones; his father-in-law, Kenny (Dolores) Mitchell; his brother-in-law, Jim (Missy) Mitchell; his sister-in-law, Mary Jane Sullivan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Ekron Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom Curry officiating. Burial will follow in the Richardson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Ekron Baptist Church Building Fund.
