Kimberly Carol (Hullett) Kessinger

Mrs. Kimberly Carol Kessinger, age 51, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.  Kim was born November 5, 1970, the daughter of Chester Ray and Sue Carolyn (Cauley) Hullett.  She was a 1988 graduate of Meade County High School.  Kim also earned her bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and continued on to receive her Masters and Rank 1 from Western Kentucky University.  She was a longtime teacher in the Meade County school system serving her students at Central Elementary, James R. Allen and Brandenburg Primary School.  Kim had many interests that included bowling, swimming and singing.  She loved her family and was very active in all of her girls’ extracurricular activities throughout their childhood.  

Kim was preceded in death by her mother.  She is survived by her husband, David L. Kessinger; two daughters, Shelley R. Ivie and Olivia S. Kessinger; her father, C. Ray Hullett; her brother, Terry Ray Hullett and his wife, Bev; her brother-in-law, Gary Kessinger and his wife, Lisa; her granddogs, Oakley and Toby; her cats, Milo and Bella; and numerous other extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Powell officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Monday.  Burial will take place at 12:00 Noon CST on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville, Kentucky.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions in Kim’s name to Safe Harbor, 200 Joe Prather Highway, Vine Grove, KY  40175, or by dropping off a donation to Wilson & Muir Bank in Vine Grove.
