Lawrence Edward "Eddie" Greenwell

Lawrence Edward Greenwell, 78, of Brandenburg, Kentucky passed away on October 31, 2024, at home with his family by his side. Eddie was born on January 21, 1946, in Webster, Kentucky, son of the late Bernard Francis and Anna Loretta (Fackler) Greenwell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Catherine, and brothers, Leo, Kelly, Floyd, and Martin Greenwell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary Greenwell; children, Mark (Trish) Greenwell, Mike Greenwell, Trish (Bill) Pike, Jayde (Chad) Ferry, Rhonda (Brock) Harris, and Tammy (Mitch) Webb; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Brenda) Greenwell, David Greenwell, and Pat Greenwell; sisters, Mary Jo Livers and Marie Hall; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Eddie was a devoted family man and friend. He was an extraordinary Papaw to not only his grandchildren but to many others. They could count on him to be ready with a story or lesson to share and always had his unwavering support. He enjoyed fishing and you could often find him on the water with his dear friend, the late Martin Webb, Sr. A man of faith, Eddie was a lifelong member of St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 4, 2024, at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi with Rev. George Illikkal officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM and at the church on Monday, from 9:00 AM until the time of mass.
