Leonard Jerald Smiddy

     Mr. Leonard Jerald Smiddy, better known simply as Smiddy, Battletown, KY, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, at the Norton Hosparus In-patient unit in Louisville, KY.  Smiddy was a jokester who always loved making people laugh.  He cherished his motorcycle, but most importantly loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

     Smiddy was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Smiddy.  He is survived by three children, Gabrielle Smiddy, Battletown, KY, Nicholas Cain and Austin Smiddy, both of West Point, KY; two grandchildren, Zayne and Kamden Johnson; his sister, Ruby Ballinger, Louisville, KY; his niece, Angela Nief, Louisville, KY; and his special friends, Billy and Rachael Baliss, Gary “Sharpie” Sharp, and Sharon Thompson.

     In honoring Smiddy’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation with no public services to be held.  Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
