Lonnie Lindsey Obituary

     Mr. Lonnie A. Lindsey, age 77, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at his residence.  Lonnie was a 1961 graduate of Larue County High School; a proud member of the Pipefitters and Plumbers Local 502; and an avid hunter and fisherman.  Lonnie was the true definition of a family man, and loved spending time with his wife, boys and grandchildren.

     Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Mary Davis Lindsey; and two brothers, Larry and Kenneth Lindsey.  He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Vowels Lindsey; four sons, Al Lindsey and his wife, Karen, Kelly Lindsey and his wife, Liz, Bill Lindsey and his wife, Ellen, and Danny Lindsey and his wife, Debbie; seven grandchildren, Corey, Barrett, Alec, Curt, Abby, Craig and Julie Lindsey; his great granddaughter, Kensley Lindsey; four step grandchildren, Tiffany Hubbard, Celia Medley, Nathan Whelan and Grant Wiles; two sisters, Betty Lawson and her husband, Carroll, and Judy Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews; and his very special friends, Bryan and Rachael Bragg.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 26, 2021, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Father Wayne Jenkins officiating.  Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday; and on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at the church.  Vigil services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, led by Deacon Mike Jones.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
