Lu-Ann (Powers) Brown

     Mrs. Lu-Ann Powers Brown, age 57, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.  Lu-Ann was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.  She had many hobbies that included working crossword puzzles and reading, but most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.

     Lu-Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Powers; her brother, Phillip Warren Powers; and her father-in-law, Jim Brown.  She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Brown; her father, Luther Powers, Jr., two children, Ryan (Lindsey Bohannon) Brown and Jacob Brown; two grandchildren, Beau and J.J. Brown, and a granddaughter due in May; her mother-in-law, Bettye Brown; five siblings, Peggy (David) Sturgeon, Tim (Diane) Powers, Lisa (Drew) White, Sheila Bennett, and Rebekah (Johnny) Bevill; several nieces and nephews that know her as Annie; and her dog, Banjo.

    Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Ekron Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom Bridge officiating.  The service will be also streamed online to the Hager Funeral Home Facebook page.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
