MSG (Ret.) Donald Lee Linder

     MSG (Ret.) Donald Lee Linder, age 76, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  Don was born in Cleveland, OH on January 11, 1947.  He was adopted by Alvin and Susan Elizabeth Linder at an early age.  He joined the military at the age of seventeen and served twenty-one years and eight months, with three tours of duty in Germany and two tours in Vietnam.

     Don was a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Greeter/Usher and on several committees.  He enjoyed playing and watching sports.  He was an avid fisherman and UK fan.

     Don is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Linda; his son, Gary and April Linder; his daughter, Laura and Ed Barbour; four grandchildren, Matthew and Evan Linder, and Rachel and Johnathan Barbour; his great grandson, Levi Barbour; three step children, Leigh Ann and Stan Lowery, Jay and Dawn Miller, and Jody and Jessica Miller; eight step grandchildren, Kristen Miller Barr, Jacob Miller, Garett Lowery, Ciera Lowery Powell, John Miller, Ethan Miller, Cole Miller and Zoey Miller; and four step great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Caroline Barr and Eden and Ellis Powell.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Buck Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. David Campbell officiating.  Burial, with full military honors, will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, and at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Buck Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
