MSG Russell Edward Cavanagh, Sr.

     MSG Russell Edward Cavanagh, Sr., age 68, of Guston, KY, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN.  MSG Cavanagh was retired from both the United States Army and the United States Postal Service.  He was born November 12, 1952, the son of Joseph Francis and Mary Kenealy Cavanagh.

     MSG Cavanagh was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Cavanagh.  He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Cavanagh; three children, Joseph Cavanagh, Kansas City, MO, Sarah Cavanagh and Russell Cavanagh, Jr.; his sister, Kathy Henderson and her husband, James, Randolph, MA; his sister-in-law, Joan Cavanagh, Bloomington, IN; and a special aunt, Annette Dockery.

     Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 20, 2020, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, with Rev. Garry Hicks officiating.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to a college fund for Russell’s children, in care of Meade County Bank.
