Marilyn (Lynn) Edith Prather (Clanton), age 92, of Ekron, KY, died peacefully at her home on Dec. 9, 2022. She was born on Sept. 17, 1930, in Nassau County, Long Island, NY to the late Thomas M. Clanton Sr. and Marguerite E. Crabtree. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Prather, four siblings, and her son, James Owen Prather.
Survived by two daughters, Marguerite “Midge” Thomas (Terry) and Linda Wendell (René ), six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Lynn was a faithful Christian and active parishioner of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, serving as Altar Guild, and on numerous outreach committees. This kind, sweet lady loved to travel and was the ever ready hostess wherever she landed. Lynn retired from Fort Knox as a Dental Hygienist, was an aviation enthusiast and avid bird watcher. Lynn made loving friends everywhere she went.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 319 Oaklawn Drive, Brandenburg, KY.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Roger Walker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Altar Guild. Committal will follow at a later date at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
