Marita Carol (Clark) Haynes

       Mrs. Marita Carol Haynes, age 59, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.  Marita was a member of the Brandenburg Moose Lodge.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing.  She also loved to cook and volunteered for Feeding America for many years.  Marita’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids.

       Marita was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Clark; her step father, Larry Brashear; and her sister, Sherry Leigh Clark.  She is survived by three children, Brandi Haynes, Brittney Fisher and her husband, Thomas, and Bradley Haynes, Jr.; six grandchildren, Brayden, Carleigh, Isabella, Gabriel, Jesse and Madison; her longtime companion and friend, Bradley Haynes; her mother, Barbara Brashear; two sisters, Melena Clark and Mary Bishoff; two brothers, Mike Clark and his wife, Beki, and Mark Clark and his wife, Connie; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

       Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Salem Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom Bridge officiating.  Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Sunday, and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
