Martha Ann (Rhodes) Mattingly

     Mrs. Martha Ann Mattingly, age 86, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.  Mrs. Mattingly born August 3, 1936, the daughter of Samuel and Virginia (Peters) Rhodes.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church.  She had many interests, but especially loved to play BUNCO.

      Mrs. Mattingly was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Francis Redmon Mattingly; her son, Claude A. Mattingly; two grandsons, Corey Mattingly and Craig Reichmuth; her great grandson, Brycen Howard; her great-great grandson, Jaden Naputi; her brother, Joe; and three sisters, Pauline, Dorothy and Leola.  She is survived by five children, Mary L. (Ron) Thomas, Elaine (Wayne) Dowell, Frank L. Mattingly, Becky A. (Bobby) Reichmuth, and Philip R. (Hedda Mitchell) Mattingly; her sister, Anna Frances King; 30 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church, with Rev. George Illakkal officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of mass on Thursday.  A vigil service will be held on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
