Mildred Frances (Doyle) Sipes

Mrs. Mildred Frances Doyle Sipes, age 91, went to be with her Lord on November 18, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home in Brandenburg.  She was born January 18, 1932, to Earley Doyle, Sr. and Virginia Meadows Doyle.  Mildred lived in Louisville until the age of 14 when the family bought a farm and moved to Meade County.  Not long after that she met Garland Sipes to whom she was married for 53 years.  Mildred was a homemaker and worked for the Meade County Schools for 34 years in the cafeteria at Central Elementary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Garland, two sisters, Evelyn Kirby and Lucille Fox, a brother, Earley Doyle, Jr., and her grandson, Kelly Hesler.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Sipes of Bellingham, WA, Teri (Jeff) Crevar of Albany, OR, and Debbie (Phil) Hesler of Brandenburg, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 bonus grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother George (Anne) Doyle of Ekron, and many nieces and nephews.

Mildred was a faithful member of Hill Grove Baptist Church where she made lifelong friends.

Her funeral service will be held at Hager Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM.  The service will be conducted by her daughters which was her wish.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Interment will be at Buck Grove Cemetery next to her husband, Garland.
