Mrs. Myrtle Patricia “Pat” Roberts, age 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Spring Hill, Florida.
Born in Rocky Mounty, NC on January 14, 1942, Pat was the daughter of Leslie M. and Beulah Mae Fisher. She grew up in Whitakers, NC and graduated from Whitakers High School in 1960. Following graduation, she married the love of her life, Everett “Chick” Roberts and supported him throughout the balance of his 20-year U.S. Navy career until they settled in Brandenburg in 1973. Pat was a member of Ekron Baptist Church. Throughout the years, she enjoyed working at the Meade County High School cafeteria, Otter Creek Park convenient store, and Children First Daycare Center. She was a lover of many things: Louisville Cards, gardening, reading, Alan Jackson, Game Show Network, Yahtzee, coffee, bird watching, and neighbor visits. However, her greatest joy was raising her children and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett “Chick” Roberts; her sisters, Louise (Luther) Balkcum, Fannie Mae (Calvin) Gay, Jewel Fisher, Agnes (A.T.) Cooke, Nell (Bill) Bruner; and her brothers, Jack (Betty) Fisher, and H.P. (Ann) Fisher.
Survivors include two sons, Everett (Lori) Roberts of Spring Hill, FL, and Terry (Cindy) Roberts of Guyton, GA; grandchildren, Chad (Nora) Roberts of Clovis, NM, Chelsi (Christopher) Terry of Clarkson, KY, Brett (Shelbi) Roberts of Tucson, AZ; two great-grandchildren and one on the way, a brother, Madison (Shirley) Fisher of Tarboro, NC; a sister-like niece, Diane (Robert) Jordan of Whitakers, NC, and many, many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Public visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Hager Funeral Home, with Bro. Tom Bridge officiating.
