Mrs. Patty Jean Thomas Watts, age 71, of Ozark, MO, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Ozark Nursing Home. Patty was born September 1, 1949, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. “Stoney” Thomas of Old Weldon. Patty was the 2nd born of eight children. She attended the Old Weldon School House and was a 1968 graduate of Meade County High School. She then moved to Lexington to begin her new life as an adult. In 1971, she married John Watts and they had two children. She was blessed to be able to travel and live in many different places while meeting so many different people. Her presence was such a positive influence to those around her. Just hearing her voice always put a smile on her family’s faces.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, J.R. and Maggie Benham Thomas; two sisters, Brenda Harrison and Joanne Thomas; and two nephews, Jeremy Summeral and Tim Thomas, Jr. She is survived by her husband, John Watts, Ozark, MO; two children, Tina R. Fuller and her husband, Robby, and Jesse Ray Watts; four grandchildren, Isaac, Brianna, Grant and Nora; three sisters, Nancy Gross and her husband, Chuck, GA, Jill Fernandez and her husband, Angel, and Amy Dilley, both of Brandenburg, KY; two brothers, Jessie Thomas, and Tim Thomas and his wife, Cindy.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2020, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Brother Gary Benham officiating. The service will be streamed online to the Hager Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will follow in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
