Paul David Alexander, Jr.

Mr. Paul David Alexander, Jr., age 57, of Louisville, KY, departed this life on Monday, July 10th, 2023, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. Mr. Alexander was a truck driver for 35 years for the Winn Dixie Corporation. He also worked at Phillip Brother's Construction Company. He was a loving and humorous man with a happy personality and a great sense of humor. Most who knew him, knew him by “PJ” or Paul Jr. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

PJ was preceded in death by his father, Paul David Alexander, Sr.; brother, Darren Clarkson; step brother, James Louis “Hoover” Ditto; sister, Sheila Hardy; niece, Rajah Hardy; and nephew, Quante Hardy. He is survived by his wife, Kim Alexander; his daughter, Alexis Mechelle Clarkson; his mother, Martha Lee Hardy; step mother, Clara Lou Alexander; seven step children, Yeah Victoria (Leo) Anderson, James Young, Lovell Stewart, Rayshonda Stewart, Maxie (Sarah) Mikle, Maxie Mikle-Vang and Sarah Glass; two granddaughters, Alexi’Anna Tanee Clarkson and Za’Coya Monae Clarkson; 13 step grandchildren; and a brother, Casey Clarkson.

A Celebration of PJ’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Tammy Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

“Those we have held in our arms for a little while, we hold in our hearts forever.”
