Paul Michael Martin

December 14, 1949 ~ December 12, 2021 (age 71)


SSG Paul Michael Martin, age 71, of Webster, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Baptist Health Louisville.  Paul was retired from the United States Army, proudly serving his country in Vietnam.  He began his military career serving in the United States Coast Guard.  Paul was a member of the VFW Post #10281 in Vine Grove, KY; proudly served other veterans as a member of the Patriot Guard; was a member of the Payneville Fire Department; and was a member of Journey Church.

SSG Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Philip Martin; his brother, Stephen Martin; and his brother-in-law, James Sims.  He is survived by his loving wife, Connie (Dutschke) Martin; five children, Amy Martin, Sean Martin and his wife, Bridget, Joey Martin, Jason Graham and his wife, Tammy and Chris Graham; three grandchildren, Maddox, Neila and Nora Martin; three siblings, Gerald Martin and his wife, Sue, Jeanne Sims and Barry Martin; his brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Laura Dutschke; five nieces and nephews, Colleen Capponi and her husband, Aaron, Melissa Martin, Kristine Macecsko and her husband, Chris, Stephen Martin and Sara Martin; and five great nieces and nephews, Alaina and Rocco Capponi, Wyatt, Wesley and Trace Martin.

Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, January 10, 2022, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, with Pastor Ryan Franks officiating.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the VFW Post #10281.
