Peggy Ray Obituary

Mrs. Peggy Ann (Wilson) Ray, age 89, of Vine Grove, KY, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Peggy was born, June 28, 1933, the daughter of Ebra and Mary Elizabeth (Meredith) Wilson. Mrs. Ray loved reading her Bible, watching Gaither Vocal Band videos, and listening to Gospel music. She was also an avid UofL cardinal fan.

Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Dorothy Payne Leonard, Eva Toll, Margaret Geraldine Schliffer and Linda McGuffin; and her ex-husband, William A. Ray. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Ray) Lancaster and her husband, Edward; her son, Robert E. Ray and his wife, Barbara; three granddaughters; one great granddaughter; three nephews, Wayne Ray, Doug Ray and Jackie Toll; and three nieces, April Lewis, Debra Lynch and Mary Lee New.

In honoring Peggy’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation.
