Phyllis Ann (Smith) Bryant

       Mrs. Phyllis Ann (Smith) Bryant, age 78, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.  She was born November 14, 1943, the daughter of Robert William and Glady Marie (Spinks) Smith.  Phyllis was very kind-hearted to all she met and just had a wonderfully sweet soul.  She was a wonderful cook and loved to shop.  Phyllis’ greatest joy in life was spoiling any child she came in contact with.

       Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Raymond Bryant and Curtis Barker; and two brothers, Robert “Bobby” and Charles Richard Smith.  She is survived by her step-sons, Paul D. Bryant, and Michael L. Bryant and his wife, Amy; four grandchildren, Abby, Joseph, Lydia and Anna Bryant; two brothers, Paul Edward Smith, Guston, KY, and James Leonard Smith, Irvington, KY; three sisters, Virginia Kay Sinnett, Brandenburg, KY, Ruth Gail Decker, Webster, KY and Mary Helen Merritt, Columbus, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

       A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 31, 2021, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Rev. Toan Do officiating.  Burial will follow in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff, KY.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, and at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass on Friday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
