Rebecca Jean (Brown) Russell

   Mrs. Rebecca Jean Russell, age 71, of Irvington, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.  Jean was a former member of the Brandenburg Moose Lodge.  She was very active and loved playing Bingo and Bunco with her many friends.

   Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Franklin and Evelyn Rebecca (Johnson) Brown; her loving husband, Robert Lee “Joe” Russell; her mother-in-law, Lillie Mae Russell; her grandson, Jordan Russell; and her brother, Raymond Brown, Jr.  She is survived by four children, Carolyn Norton, Stephensport, KY, Brenda Hines, Joshua Lane Russell and his wife, Tabitha, both of Irvington, KY, Robert Lee Russell, Jr. and his wife, Suzette, SC; a great grandson who she was raising, Michael Sipes; 18 grandchildren, Brittney, Steven, Brandon, Johanna, Elizabeth, David, Tiffany, Robert, Alison, Michaela, Austin, Dalton, Jeremy, Johnathan, Ethan, Trevor, Jacob, and Joshua, Jr.; 23 other very special great grandchildren; her brother, Melvin Brown and his wife, Debbie; her sister, Peggy (Steve) Brown; and her brother-in-law, Terry Reesor.

   Funeral Services will be held privately for Jean’s immediate family only, due to capacity restrictions.  The service will be streamed online to the Hager Funeral Home Facebook page at 2:00 PM on Thursday.  Public visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 1:45 PM on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
