Robert L. "Bob" Bruner

Mr. Robert L. Bruner, age 89, of Midway, KY peacefully passed away at his residence surrounded by loved ones Sunday, July 18, 2021.  His greatest priorities in life were by far God and his family.  Bob was an owner / operator truck driver, over 60-year Knights of Columbus member and loved telling jokes to make you laugh.  He never met a stranger.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Homer James and Idell Anna Logsdon Bruner; and two sisters, Virginia Embry and Irene Naomi Wilson.  He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joann Vessels Bruner and (7) children, Teri (David) Dugan, Diane (David) Burnett, Jim (Yo) Bruner, BeeDee Whelan, Joey (Leigh Ann) Bruner, Steven Bruner, Theo Bruner; (2) sisters, Shirley Covington and Margie Lamkin; (1) brother, Bennie Bruner; (13) Grandchildren and (20) Great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 23 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. George Cemetery.  Visitation at Hager Funeral Home from Noon till 8:00 PM Thursday and 9:00 – 11:00 AM at St. John’s.  Expressions of sympathy may be donations to Hosparus of Central KY, P.O.
