SFC (Ret) Robert Curtis Winkler

SFC (Ret) Robert Curtis Winkler, age 77, of Webster, KY, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his residence. Robert was born on June 6, 1946, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the son of Adolph William and Elizabeth Eleanor (Lindsey) Winkler. He retired from the United States Army with 21 years of service and worked as a mechanical engineer for 28 years.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Winkler; three daughters, Robin (John) Frederick, Lori (Charlie) Crow and Missy (Mike) Oakes; six grandchildren, Matt Hedges, CJ (Jessie) Crow, Amber (Michael) Brothers, Tyler (Chelsea) Crow, Austin Frederick and Kayla Bennett; 18 great grandchildren; and his brother, Dave (Mary) Winkler.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and 9:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
