Sammy Whitworth Obituary
Sammy Whitworth, Store Keper Chief USN, Retired, age 79, of Custer, KY, departed for his new ship on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, KY.
Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Reba Whitworth; and his former wife of 38 years, Saundra D. Whitworth. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen M. Whitworth; and his son, Sammy T. Whitworth of Virginia.
In honoring Sammy’s wishes, cremation has been chosen and there will be no public services. Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. To those that remain, Sammy bids you fare winds and following seas.
