Sara Bell (Clarkson) Young

Mrs. Sara Bell Young, age 68, of Ekron, KY, passed away on  Friday, August 30, 2024, at her daughter’s residence.  Sara was born November 28, 1955, the daughter of Sherman Lee and Margaret Banks Clarkson.

Sara spent the last few years working at West Louisville Ministries.  Before her retirement in 2008, she was a 27 year employee of TJ Maxx.  Sara was well known for her tight hugs and kisses!  She loved playing ROOK and reading her books, but mostly loved her Lord, her family, and her friends! Sara never met a stranger!  She will be missed dearly, but her love and legacy will live on.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Young; several brothers and sisters, and other family members.  She is survived by her children, Terry Joe Clarkson, Michelle Sheree young, Shanice Nicole Young; her adopted daughter, Sandra Ditto-Cox; and her sisters, Martha Hardy, Tammy Payne and Nancy Young.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Ben Trowell and Minister Tammy Payne officiating.   Burial will follow in the Guston Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Saturday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Greater Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, or to the American Heart Association.
