Sheila Yvette Hardy

    Sheila Yvette Hardy was born to Charles and Martha Hardy on a beautiful sunny day September 12, 1976.  Sheila returned home to her heavenly Father on July 30, 2020.  Sheila was first and foremost a Mother!  Many children have called her Mom or Ma Dukes!  You could count on her for an open door and a delicious meal.  She was a great cook and her peach cobbler was legendary!  Sheila was funny and had a beautiful, infectious laugh.  Everyone will surely miss the sound of her laughter.  She graduated from Western High School in Hyattsville, MD and received her certification in phlebotomy from ATT College.

    Sheila was preceded in death by her son, Quante Zahair Hardy; her brother, Darren Clarkson; and her grandparents, Sherman and Margaret Clarkson and William and Lucy Hardy.  She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her parents, Charles and Martha Hardy; her children, Tiara Key, Rajah Hardy, Malik Brooks, Qudrine Hardy, Quincy Hardy, Da’Nylah Grinage and Jakobi Hardy; her grandchildren, Ja’Ceon Simmons and Kennedi Philpot; her brothers and sisters, Darnell Hardy, Paul Alexander, Jr., Casey Clarkson, Charles Barrow, Vicky Hardy, Elnora Hardy, Adrine Hardy and Marian “Nikki” Alexander; her special aunt/cousin, Bea Resper; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will mourn her loss and remember her always.

     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home.  Due to capacity restrictions at this time, the service will be streamed online to the Hager Funeral Home Facebook page.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research online at https://www.lustgarten.org/donate.  Online condolences may be left at www.hagerfuneralhome.com.
