Shirley Ann (Schneider) Faust

     Mrs. Shirley Ann Faust, age 87, of Concordia, KY, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her residence.  She was born August 29, 1934, the daughter of Edward Phillip and Rose Elizabeth (Volpert) Schneider.  Shirley was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church.  She loved to travel with her girls, play bingo, go to the casino, garden and spend time with her family.   She always had a Sunday meal prepared. 

      Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Pete Dhaenens; her husband, Leo B. Faust, Sr.; her infant son, Michael Joseph; her son-in-law, Ellis Glenn Ward; and two brothers, Donald and Jack Schneider.  She is survived by four children, Cheryl Ann (Frankie) Vessels, Leo B. (Anita) Faust, Jr., Sherry L. Ward, and Stacy J. (Dewayne) Carter; six grandchildren, Whitney (Chuck) Williams, Mandy Faust, Christina (Mike) Fanning, Jason (Leslie) Faust, Cory Ward and Kelsey Ward; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn (Dave) Brown and Myrna (Paul) Roberts.

       Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon EST on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Deacon Greg Beavin officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Theresa Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM EST on Friday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky, or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
