Ms. Shirley Ann Price, age 84, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Sunday, May17, 2026 at Signature Healthcare of North Hardin.
Shirley was a simple lady who enjoyed the simpler things in life such as sitting on her front porch, drinking her coffee and listening to the hummingbirds. She loved playing bingo, cards and board games, especially 21 and Yahtzee. In her more recent days, she enjoyed nurturing her friendships at Signature, but was known as the “spicy” lady. If she liked you, she liked you, but if not, you better keep to yourself. Although Shirley raised her children and some grandchildren as a single mother, not able to provide the finest things in life, she loved them all fiercely and passionately and was always able to provide a hot meal, roof over their head, and a special relationship with each that no amount of money could replace.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, Jenny Mae Flack; two sons and their wives, Bruce and Renee Fowler and Keith and Tanya Fowler; three brothers, Billy, Thomas, and Bobby Flack; and two sisters, Viola Parrish and Martel Flack. She is survived by five children, Debbie (Ted) Clark, Charlotte (Charles) Pike, Roger (Sallie) Bowman, Christopher Bowman, and Brandy (Pat) Luckenbill; her sister, Betty Livingston; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and her numerous friends at Signature.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Knob Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
