Steven Prather Obituary

Mr. Steven Douglas Prather, age 70, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Saturday April 25, 2020, at Signature Healthcare of North Hardin. Steve was a lifelong member of Buck Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and sang in the church choir for many years. He was also an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Helen “Tommie” Stith Prather. He is survived by his son, Taylor Prather and his wife, Laura, Elizabethtown, KY; his father, Hayes Prather, Ekron, KY; and his brother, Paul Prather, Ekron, KY.

Funeral Services were held privately for Steve’s immediate family, due to health concerns. Burial took place in Buck Grove Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Buck Grove Baptist Church or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society online at https://donate.lls.org/.
