Suzanne Holt

Ms. Suzanne Holt, age 72, of Ekron, entered in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.  She was a graduate of Meade County High School and a proud member of the MCHS cheerleading squad for four years. Suzanne was a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church.  She loved the Lord, was a faithful reader of His word and enjoyed sharing Jesus with everyone she met. She had a giving heart and loved helping others.  She loved and enjoyed her family and friends, playing games and loving on her pets. She especially liked playing Shanghai Rummy with her great nephew, Luke Seelye. Most of all she was a loving sister and a friend to many. Suzanne was very compassionate and worked in many places such as Fort Knox, nursing homes, the Anchor House and the Meade County Detention Center where she could be found helping and serving others.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling and Nellie (Harrington) Holt.  She is survived by three loving, supportive sisters, Doris June Green (Pleasantville, OH), Joan Marie Seelye, and Lorraine Medley (Ekron, KY); a very special nephew, Troy Seelye, a treasured and cherished cousin, Jack Holt; a supportive niece-in-law, Gail Seelye, who faithfully cared for Suzanne ensuring she made it to her tri-weekly dialysis appointments; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom she dearly loved and who loved her. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Bro. Luke Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Buck Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
