Ms. Tammie Lynn Rone-Bruner, age 66, of Elizabeth, IN, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, in New Albany. Tammie was born on April 1, 1959, the daughter of Thurman and Billie Joan (Hoskins) Rone.
Tammie had the biggest, most giving heart. Taking care of others was a main priority in her life. Although you could often find her in a room cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, her love for four wheeling, boating, and spending time with friends and family truly define her.
Tammie was preceded in death by her mother; and her sister, Joan Margaret Rone. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Shauna Dones and her husband, Brandon; her granddaughter, Jazlynn Dones; her father, Thurman Rone; three brothers and sisters, Tony Rone, Diane Netherton, and Chris “Joe” Rone; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alliance of Therapy Dogs online at www.therapydogs.harnessgiving.org or to the PSP and CBD Foundation for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy research.
