Thelma Jean "Jeanie" (Burnett) Basham

     Mrs. Thelma Jean “Jeanie” Basham, age 81, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at her residence.  Mrs. Basham was born October 23, 1939, the daughter of Oria and Zelma (Pendleton) Burnett.

     Mrs. Basham was preceded in death by her parents; two great grandchildren, Squirt Humphrey and Noah Brown; four sisters, Gerlene Logsdon, Mary Edith Williams, Mildred Epperson and Geneva Wallace; and three brothers, Johnny Williams, Truman Burnett and Philip Burnett.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William H. “Bill” Basham; three children, Tammy (Joey) Hardesty, DJ (Misty) Benham and Donna (Joe) Brown; eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Murdock) Humphrey, Jill Hardesty, Garett (Makaela Mueller) Benham, Connor Benham, Brylee Benham, Adrienne Brown, Dominic Brown and Zac (Sydney) Brown; seven great grandchildren, Nevaeh Humphrey, Autumn Humphrey, Kaiden Mercer, Jonah Brown, Zane Brown, Ayla Brown and Layni Jo Brown; her sister, Irene Biggs; and two brothers, Louie Burnett and Donnie Burnett; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

      Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Hackert officiating.  Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, KY.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Sunday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.
